DELIVERY & PICKUP

One of the most challenging parts of our rental business is getting the rental equipment into the hands of customers. For us, it’s costly, time consuming, and very difficult at times. For our customers it is mostly confusing. We hope this simple explanation sheds some light on it.

Store Pick up – The fastest way to get equipment is to pick it up in person. If the equipment is small enough to fit into a normal car, if you live in the area, and if you can drive, you can always walk into our store and pick up the equipment.

Delivery Services – If for whatever reasons you cannot pick up the equipment yourself, we can deliver the equipment to you. Delivery fees depend on the equipment and the distance we need to travel. We charge $2 per mile for our delivery services. For example, if the delivery destination is 8 miles away from our store, one-way delivery to you will be $16. If you want us to pick up the equipment at the end of your rental period, we charge another $16 for that service.

Free Delivery – There are equipment that customers cannot pick up because they are bulky and heavy, or need installation. These include Hospital Beds, Power Wheelchairs, Lift Chairs, and Heavy-Duty Scooters. We’ve made it simple and added the deliver and pick up fees into the rental fees. They are:

  • Hospital Beds

Rental Fees: $225/mo.

Delivery Fees: Free within 20 miles; $2 per mile beyond 20

  • Mobility Scooters

Rental Fees: $175/wk. or $380/mo.

Delivery Fees: Free within 20 miles; $2 per mile beyond 20

  • Power Wheelchairs

Rental Fees: $175/wk. or $380/mo.

Delivery Fees: Free within 20 miles; $2 per mile beyond 20

  • Lift Chairs

Rental Fees: $225/mo.

Delivery Fees: Free within 20 miles; $2 per mile beyond 20

  • Medical Recliners

Rental Fees: $225/mo.

Delivery Fees: Free within 20 miles; $2 per mile beyond 20

 

SHIPPING

When you rent certain equipment such as breast pumps, suction machines, or portable oxygen concentrators for a minimum period of 2 weeks, we can ship them to you for free by FedEx ground. Most items arrive in 3-4 business days.

If you need your equipment faster, please contact us at 1-855-HIE-LINE (1-855-443-5463). You are responsible for the actual cost of expedited shipping.

SHIPPING CONTENT

The equipment arrives in a box. Please open the package very carefully without damaging the box because you will be using the same box to ship the equipment back. Inside the box you will find the equipment and your rental packet. The rental packet contains your paperwork, manuals, and instruction on assembling, usage, disassembling, and return shipment. You can find the answers to most common questions and issues inside you packet. You can always call us if you have any questions.

RETURN SHIPPING

You are responsible for the cost of shipping back to us. You can either use the FedEx return label that’s in your rental packet or use your own shipping methods. Using our return label has two advantages:

  1. It will cost you less because we get volume discount from FedEx and we’ll pass on the savings to you.
  2. It’s easier to track your shipment and rental period. FedEx notifies us the moment you drop off the package and that’s when your rental period ends. Using any other methods will complicate this process.

DROP-OFF VS. PICKUP SERVICES

The most economical way of return shipping is to drop off the package at your nearest FedEx location using the return shipping label included in your packet . You can always request pick up from your location by calling us or FedEx for an additional cost. The pick-up service costs approximately $17 that will be passed on to you and charged to your account.
