Warranty Summary for TiLite Wheelchairs
Comprehensive Coverage for TiLite Models
Permobil, Inc. (“Permobil”) provides a warranty on all TiLite manual wheelchairs listed below, covering them against defects in material and workmanship under normal use, maintenance, and care as per the owner’s manual and instructions. This warranty applies specifically to the following TiLite models:
TiLite ZR, TiLite ZRA, TiLite TR, TiLite TRA, TiLite Aero Z, TiLite Aero T, TiLite Aero X, TiLite 2GX, TiLite Pilot, and TiLite Twist.
Please note: Spare and replacement parts are covered under a separate warranty, as well as any ROHO or Comfort Company components included with the wheelchair, which are subject to their own respective warranties.
Warranty Periods
Frame Warranty – 5 Years
Permobil guarantees all TiLite wheelchair frames (including cross-braces and sideguards) for five years against defects in materials and workmanship, provided the product is used by the original purchaser. If a defect is found, Permobil will repair or replace the frame or affected components free of charge.
Non-Frame Components – 1 Year
All other TiLite-manufactured components, such as upholstery and seating, are warranted for one year from the start of the warranty period against defects in material and workmanship.
Spare & Replacement Parts Warranty – 90 Days
Spare parts sold by Permobil and replacement parts used in authorized repairs are warranted for 90 days from shipment.
Warranty Activation and Service
Warranty Period Commencement
The warranty period begins seven days after Permobil ships the wheelchair to the dealer.
Repair or Replacement Process
For warranty service, contact the dealer from whom the wheelchair was purchased. If a defect is discovered, the dealer will obtain a Return Authorization (RA) from Permobil, and the product may be sent to a Permobil service center for repair or replacement.
If your dealer cannot be reached or does not provide satisfactory service, you may contact Permobil directly at (800) 736-0925 or by emailing [email protected].
Limitations and Exclusions
Exclusions:
– The warranty excludes tires, tubes, upholstery, and components subject to normal wear and tear, such as cushions, pads, and grips, unless defects in material or construction are found.
– The warranty may be void if any unauthorized modifications are made, the product is misused, or if the original Permobil serial number tag is removed or altered.
Disclaimer of Damages
Permobil is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product defects. In no case shall damages exceed the product’s original purchase price.
Proper Use Requirement
The warranty is valid only when the product is used according to the owner’s manual, with proper maintenance, storage, and care. Permobil cannot guarantee performance or safety in the case of accidents, natural disasters, or extreme impact events.
