Need a sealed lead acid or gel battery?
Many power chairs and scooters run on sealed lead acid batteries, either AGM or gel. They come in many sizes and ratings, and the right one depends on your equipment, so we quote them for your chair or scooter instead of listing every size. Here is what helps us match the right one.
AGM or gel
Both are sealed and maintenance free. AGM is the most common in chairs and scooters. Gel handles deep, daily use well. Some chargers have separate AGM and gel settings, so replace like for like unless the charger is set for the change.
Read the label
The label on your current battery gives the voltage (usually 12V), the amp hours (Ah), a size code such as U1, 22NF or Group 24, and AGM or GEL. Copy it into the form if you can.
Amp hours and range
Amp hours measure how much the battery holds. More amp hours in the same size means more range between charges. The size code decides whether it fits the battery tray.
Replace in pairs
Most chairs and scooters run on two 12V batteries wired together. Replace both at the same time so they charge and wear evenly.
