Ki Mobility Focus CR
The Focus CR is a manual tilt in space wheelchair with hand, foot or power tilt. You choose every part, and we check it against Ki Mobility's rules.
A tilt in space chair built to the user, with hand, foot or power tilt
The Focus CR is Ki Mobility's manual tilt in space wheelchair. Its complex rotation tilts the seat from 5 degrees forward to 50 degrees back on two paths, so the seat stays balanced through the tilt. It is rated to 300 lbs., or 400 lbs. on the heavy duty frame, and its width and depth adjust within a range as needs change.
Choose the frame size and seating setup, the tilt, the back, the rear wheels and wheel locks, the casters and seat height, the footrest, the armrests, accessories and color. Each choice is checked against the Focus CR order form as you build.
What stands out
Complex rotation
Two control paths with two centers of rotation keep the seat balanced, so it settles to the middle of its travel instead of moving forward or back on its own.
Hand, foot or power tilt
Hand tilt on the right, left or both push handles, foot tilt on either side, or power tilt with a toggle, pendant or adaptive switch interface.
Adjusts as needs change
The frame width and depth adjust within the range you choose, and the center of gravity moves with two bolts.
Footrest choices
Extension tube, front mount and contracture footrests, elevating leg rests and residual limb supports, with seat to footrest lengths in half inch steps.
Flip up anti-tips
Optional spring loaded rear anti-tips flip up and down with a foot.
Color choices
The frame comes in 21 colors at no charge.
The Hieline Insight
The Focus CR suits a user who needs to change position through the day and is pushed by a caregiver or pushes a little themselves, up to 300 lbs. or 400 lbs. on the heavy duty frame. Choose hand tilt if a caregiver tilts the chair, foot tilt to keep both hands free, and power tilt if the user tilts on their own. Pick a width and depth range that holds today's size with room to adjust, since the frame stays within its range. Take hip width, seat depth, lower leg length and back height before you start. Choose the rear wheels, tire and wheel locks before the casters, and the casters before the seat height, because they set the heights the page offers. Ki Mobility builds the chair to order, so it cannot be returned once it is made.

Common questions
Measure seated on a firm surface. Hip width sets the frame width, the back of the hip to the back of the knee sets the seat depth, the back of the knee to the floor in shoes sets the seat to footrest length, and the seat to the shoulders sets the back height. The measuring guide on the Resources tab shows each one.
From 5 degrees forward to 50 degrees back. Offset hangers add tilt stops, and with them the chair does not tilt forward.
Hand tilt is worked by a caregiver at the push handle, on the right, left or both sides. Foot tilt is worked with the foot. Power tilt lets the user tilt with a toggle, a pendant or an adaptive switch.
300 lbs. on the standard frame and 400 lbs. on the heavy duty frame, which needs the long depth range and 6" x 2" or 8" x 2" casters.
Ki Mobility gives a transport weight of 33 lbs. at 16" x 16" with stroller handle back posts and 6" x 1" casters, without the armrests, footrests and rear wheels.
With option 1 you choose a seat depth and a backrest offset, and Ki Mobility sets the frame to match. With option 2 you choose the frame depth. Both cost nothing, and the depth can be adjusted later within the range.
Ki Mobility's chart sets the seat heights by rear wheel size, tire, wheel lock and caster. The page offers only the heights on that chart for the parts you chose. The transit option needs at least a 16" seat height.
No. The chair comes with the seat pan if you choose it, and the back posts. A cushion and back support are sold separately.
Ki Mobility warrants the frame, hangers, tilt assembly with its bearings and the quick release axles against defects for the life of the original purchaser, with an expected frame life of five years. Power tilt parts other than batteries are covered for two years, and all other Ki Mobility parts for one year from the first purchase. Upholstery, tires, tubes, armrest pads, armrests and push handle grips are wear items and are not covered.

Yes. Your progress saves automatically in your browser as you go, so you can step away and pick up where you left off on the same device.
Every combination is checked against Ki Mobility's own compatibility rules as you build. An option that does not fit your other choices is greyed out with the reason printed on it, and the build cannot be added to the cart while a conflict is open.
