Ki Mobility Rogue 2
The Rogue 2 is a rigid ultralight aluminum wheelchair. You choose every part, and we check it against Ki Mobility's rules.
A rigid ultralight chair with V-front and Y taper choices, built to your measurements
The Rogue 2 is Ki Mobility's K0005 rigid wheelchair in 1 3/8" aluminum tubing, rated to 275 lbs. Ki Mobility gives a 10.6 lb. transport weight at 16" x 16". The back angle adjusts with one tool and has +4 and +9 degree relax positions, and the rear seat height adjusts on indexed positions.
Choose the seat size, front frame bend, rear wheels or one arm drive, taper, casters and seat heights, footplate, back, wheel locks, armrests, side guards, accessories and colors. Each choice is checked against the Rogue 2 order form as you build.
What stands out
Back angle and relax positions
The back angle is set with one tool and no disassembly, with the user in the chair, and the back can move to +4 or +9 degree relax positions from that setting.
Wing caster mounts
The caster wings come in an optimized position for the smallest footprint or an expanded position about 3/4" wider for stability, with Ki Mobility's caster angle adjustment.
V-front and Y tapers
The front end comes straight, with a 1" or 2" Y taper, or with a 3.5 or 7 degree V-front to set the legs at the angle the user needs.
Indexed rear seat height
The rear seat height moves between indexed positions without disassembly, so the frame stays aligned.
User activated anti-tips
The anti-tips flip up, down or into a stowed position from the seat, in a pair or a single left or right.
Color choices
The frame comes in 21 colors at no charge, with a free color accent package, colored mag wheels and a colored release bar as options.
The Hieline Insight
The Rogue 2 suits an active manual wheelchair user who wants a rigid ultralight frame fitted closely to their measurements, up to 275 lbs. It goes down to a 12" seat width for a smaller adult, and it can be ordered with one arm drive for a user who pushes with one hand. Its V-front and Y taper choices let the footrest sit narrower than the seat, and the back angle can be changed later with one tool. Take your hip width, seat depth, lower leg length and back height before you start, since Ki Mobility fixes every size when it builds the chair. Choose your front frame bend and taper before the casters, and your rear wheels before the rear seat height, because they set the choices the page offers. Ki Mobility builds the chair to order, so it cannot be returned once it is made.

Common questions
Measure seated on a firm surface. Hip width sets the seat width, the back of the hip to the back of the knee sets the seat depth, the back of the knee to the floor in shoes sets the seat to footrest length, and the seat to the shoulder blades sets the back height. The measuring guide on the Resources tab shows each one.
275 lbs. Ki Mobility makes no heavy duty frame for the Rogue 2. The reinforced frame is required with the 20" seat width or depth.
Ki Mobility gives a transport weight of 10.6 lbs. at 16" x 16" with the short back height, 4" poly casters and the tubular open footplate, without the rear wheels.
Both bring the footrest narrower than the seat. The Y tapers step the front tubes in by 1" or 2" and raise the lowest front seat heights. The V-fronts angle the tubes in at 3.5 or 7 degrees and keep the lowest front seat heights, but most tubular and high mount footplates are not sold with them.
The front seat height depends on the taper and the caster size, and the rear seat height on the rear wheel size. The lowest rear seat height for each wheel size needs a low profile tire. The page offers only the heights on Ki Mobility's charts for the parts you chose.
No. The chair comes with a seat sling, or the aluminum seat pan if you choose it. Ki Mobility's photos show a cushion, which is sold separately.
Ki Mobility offers the Klaxon Twist on this chair. This page builds the chair without it.
Ki Mobility warrants the frame and quick release axles against defects for the life of the original purchaser, with an expected frame life of five years. All other Ki Mobility parts are covered for one year from the first purchase. Upholstery, tires, tubes, armrest pads, armrests and push handle grips are wear items and are not covered.
No. The Rogue 2 is built to order to one user's sizes, so it cannot be returned. Ki Mobility's warranty covers defects.
No. You can order a Rogue 2 from Hieline without a prescription.
No. Hieline does not bill or accept insurance, so the Rogue 2 is a direct purchase. Any reimbursement is strictly between you and your insurer.
Yes. Your progress saves automatically in your browser as you go, so you can step away and pick up where you left off on the same device.
Every combination is checked against Ki Mobility's own compatibility rules as you build. An option that does not fit your other choices is greyed out with the reason printed on it, and the build cannot be added to the cart while a conflict is open.
