Ki Mobility Rogue ALX
The Rogue ALX is a rigid ultralight aluminum wheelchair. You choose every part, and we check it against Ki Mobility's rules.
A rigid ultralight aluminum chair, built to your measurements
The Rogue ALX, previously the Tsunami ALX, is Ki Mobility's K0005 rigid wheelchair in 7000 series 1 3/8" aluminum tubing. Ki Mobility gives an 11.2 lb. transport weight at 16" x 16", and the rear seat height adjusts in 1/4" steps on its tubular component system.
Choose the frame, seat size, front frame bend, rear wheels, taper, casters and seat heights, footplate, back, wheel locks, armrests, side guards, accessories and color. Each choice is checked against the Rogue ALX order form as you build.
What stands out
7000 series aluminum frame
The rigid frame uses 1 3/8" 7000 series aluminum tubing, chosen by Ki Mobility for stiffness with some damping of vibration.
Crescent CG system
The center of gravity adjusts along the side frame without hardware on the outside of the frame, so it does not interfere with the back or a seating system.
Tubular component system
The rear seat height adjusts up and down in 1/4" steps, and the Mx tower gives a 3" range when a larger adjustment is needed.
Machined caster housings
The front caster housings are machined from aluminum.
Fit choices
Five front frame bends from 70 to 90 degrees, three footrest tapers, three sling positions and up to 3" of adjustable depth let the chair match the user and grow with them.
Color accent package
With the locking fold down back and slotted forks, the back plates, forks and camber tube can be painted in a second color at no charge.
The Hieline Insight
The Rogue ALX suits an active manual wheelchair user who wants a rigid ultralight frame fitted to their measurements, up to 250 lbs., or 350 lbs. with the heavy duty frame. It is a light chair to lift into a car, at an 11.2 lb. transport weight, and it can still be set up for growth with up to 3" of adjustable depth and a long sling. Take your hip width, seat depth, lower leg length and back height before you start, since Ki Mobility fixes every size when it builds the chair. Choose your front frame bend and taper before the casters, and your rear wheels before the rear seat height, because they set the choices the page offers. Ki Mobility builds the chair to order, so it cannot be returned once it is made.

Common questions
Measure seated on a firm surface. Hip width sets the seat width, the back of the hip to the back of the knee sets the seat depth, the back of the knee to the floor in shoes sets the seat to footrest length, and the seat to the shoulder blades sets the back height. The measuring guide on the Resources tab shows each one.
250 lbs. With the heavy duty frame it carries 350 lbs. The heavy duty frame needs 6" casters and is not sold with low poly tires, several footplates, the locking fold down back, fold down push handles, padded Velcro back upholstery, Frog Legs II, the transit system or the color accent package.
Ki Mobility gives a transport weight of 11.2 lbs. at 16" x 16" with a 12" height adjustable back, 4" poly casters, the tubular open footplate and standard upholstery, without the rear wheels, and a standard weight of 18.8 lbs.
The front seat height depends on the footrest taper and the caster size, and the rear seat height on the rear wheel size. The lowest rear seat height for each wheel size needs a low profile tire. The page offers only the heights on Ki Mobility's charts for the parts you chose.
Ki Mobility requires it with seat widths of 20" to 22" and with the 20" seat depth, and then it is included at no charge. It is also included with the heavy duty frame. On other chairs it is an option.
No. The chair comes with a seat sling, or the aluminum seat pan if you choose it. A cushion is sold separately.
Ki Mobility offers the Klaxon Twist on this chair. This page builds the chair without it.
Ki Mobility warrants the frame and quick release axles against defects for the life of the original purchaser, with an expected frame life of five years. All other Ki Mobility parts are covered for one year from the first purchase. Upholstery, tires, tubes, armrest pads, armrests and push handle grips are wear items and are not covered.
No. The Rogue ALX is built to order to one user's sizes, so it cannot be returned. Ki Mobility's warranty covers defects.
No. You can order a Rogue ALX from Hieline without a prescription.
No. Hieline does not bill or accept insurance, so the Rogue ALX is a direct purchase. Any reimbursement is strictly between you and your insurer.
Yes. Your progress saves automatically in your browser as you go, so you can step away and pick up where you left off on the same device.
Every combination is checked against Ki Mobility's own compatibility rules as you build. An option that does not fit your other choices is greyed out with the reason printed on it, and the build cannot be added to the cart while a conflict is open.
