The classic rigid box frame
The Quickie GP is Sunrise Medical's hand crafted rigid box frame wheelchair, with over 25 years of users. The GPV tapers the front for quicker turns in tight spaces.
You choose the frame, sizes, frame angle and height, casters, seat heights, wheels, footrest, back, arms and color, and every choice is checked against Sunrise's rules and its front and rear seat height charts as you build.
What stands out
One piece box frame
The GP's hand crafted box frame gives a stiff, rigid ride that has lasted over 25 years of daily use.
GP or GPV front
The GP has a square front frame. The GPV tapers in at the front for a smaller footprint and quicker turns.
Four frame angles
60, 70, 75 or 80 degrees, from feet forward to tucked in close for tight turns.
Seat heights from Sunrise's charts
Front and rear seat heights are checked against Sunrise's charts for your frame height, caster, wheel and tire, and Sunrise sets the fork and axle plate hole to match.
Xtender ready
Add Quickie's Xtender power assist wheels in 22" or 24", with nickel or lithium batteries.
Built for sport too
With the GPV front, performance wheels and camber, the GP is quick enough for the court.
The Hieline Insight
The Quickie GP suits an active user up to 250 lbs. who pushes all day and wants the stiff, efficient ride of a rigid box frame. The first choice is the front frame. Take the GPV if the user turns in tight spaces, and the GP if a 12" or 13" seat or the composite and angle adjustable footplates are needed. Pick the frame angle for how far forward the feet sit, then the frame height, caster and wheels before the seat heights, since Sunrise's charts decide which heights each combination reaches. Take the user's measurements with Sunrise's measuring guide on the Resources tab before you build.

Order form and measuring
Common questions
Measure the user seated on a firm surface. Hip width is the widest point across the hips. Seat depth is from the back of the hips to the back of the knee. Lower leg length is from the back of the knee to the bottom of the heel. Sunrise's measuring guide is on the Resources tab.
The GPV tapers in at the front for a narrower footprint and quicker turns. It is not made in 12" or 13" widths, takes the 60 or 70 degree angle, and takes the rigid, platform or flip-up footrest. The price is the same.
Sunrise's charts print the front seat heights each caster reaches at each frame height, and the rear seat heights each wheel and tire reach. The build only opens the heights on the charts, and Sunrise sets the fork and axle plate hole to hit them.
They do not work with a choice you have already made. The reason is printed on the option, and every rule comes from Sunrise's order form.
No. The GP is not offered with a transit system.
No. The GP is built to order to one user's measurements, so it cannot be returned. The Sunrise warranty covers defects.
No. You can order a Quickie GP from Hieline without a prescription.
No. Hieline does not bill or accept insurance, so the Quickie GP is a direct purchase. Any reimbursement is strictly between you and your insurer.
