A rigid frame with swing away legrests
The Quickie GP Swing-Away puts swing away hangers on the GP's rigid box frame, so the user gets a rigid chair with room to transfer and the option of elevating legrests.
You choose the sizes, casters, seat heights, wheels, hangers, footplates, back, arms and color, and every choice is checked against Sunrise's rules and its lower leg chart as you build.

The GP's one piece box frame with hangers that swing in and out of the way, so the user can get close for transfers.
Elevating and articulating legrests
Swing in and out hangers at 60, 70 or 90 degrees, or an articulating or elevating legrest for a user who needs the legs raised.
Hangers from Sunrise's lower leg chart
Every hanger, tube and footplate is checked against Sunrise's lower leg chart for the user's leg length and front seat height.

Add Quickie's Xtender power assist wheels in 22" or 24", with nickel or lithium batteries.

A non folding back from 8" to 16", or a folding back that adjusts through a range, with push or stroller handles.
The Hieline Insight
The Quickie GP Swing-Away suits a user up to 250 lbs. who wants the stiff, efficient ride of a rigid frame but needs the legrests out of the way for transfers, or needs elevating legrests. The first choice is the hanger. Take a 60 or 70 degree swing in and out hanger for everyday use, and the articulating or elevating legrest if the legs need to be raised. Sunrise's chart sets a minimum front seat height for each hanger and tube, so pick the front seat height with that in mind, and set the user's lower leg length to see which hangers reach it. Take the user's measurements with Sunrise's measuring guide on the Resources tab before you build.

Common questions
Measure the user seated on a firm surface. Hip width is the widest point across the hips. Seat depth is from the back of the hips to the back of the knee. Lower leg length is from the back of the knee to the bottom of the heel. Sunrise's measuring guide is on the Resources tab.
They share the rigid box frame. The GP has a fixed front with a rigid footrest or tube mounted footplates. The Swing-Away has hangers that swing out of the way, including articulating and elevating legrests.
Sunrise's lower leg chart sets a minimum front seat height and a leg length range for each hanger and tube. The build only opens the hangers that fit your choices.
They do not work with a choice you have already made. The reason is printed on the option, and every rule comes from Sunrise's order form.
