A no-nonsense rigid chair for daily journeys
The Quickie QRi is Sunrise Medical's open frame rigid ultralight wheelchair, 22 lbs. and rated to 265 lbs. It takes a 75, 80 or 85 degree front frame, a 0" or 1" inset, and optional WC-19 transit.
You choose the frame angle, sizes, wheels, seat heights, casters, footrest, back, arms and color, and every choice is checked against Sunrise's rules, its tire and caster charts and its lower leg and seat height limits as you build.

Three frame angles
75, 80 or 85 degrees at the front, with a 0" or 1" inset, to place the feet where the user needs them.
Adjustable fit
The axle plate sets the center of gravity from 1" to 3", and the height adjustable back runs from 10" to 20".
Folding lock down back
The angle adjustable back folds flat for transport and sets from -8 to 17 degrees.
Wide choice of wheels
Mag, lite spoke, ultra lightweight and Spinergy wheels, with the tires and handrims Sunrise's chart allows for each.
The Hieline Insight
The Quickie QRi suits a user who wants a rigid ultralight chair at a lower price than the Nitrum or 5R and does not need the extra adjustments those chairs carry. Start with the frame angle, since it decides which casters and forks fit and where the feet sit, then choose the rear wheel and tire together, because Sunrise's chart sets which tires each wheel takes. Set the rear seat height before the front, which has to sit within Sunrise's drop for the seat depth, and then pick the lower leg length the chart allows for your frame angle and footrest. Take the user's measurements with Sunrise's measuring guide on the Resources tab before you build.

Common questions
Measure the user seated on a firm surface. Hip width is the widest point across the hips. Seat depth is from the back of the hips to the back of the knee. Lower leg length is from the back of the knee to the bottom of the heel. Sunrise's measuring guide is on the Resources tab.
75 degrees puts the feet furthest forward and takes every caster size. 85 degrees tucks the feet in closest for a shorter chair, and is not made with 6" casters or with some caster and Frog Legs combinations. 80 degrees sits between them.
They do not work with a choice you have already made. The reason is printed on the option, and every rule comes from Sunrise's order form and its charts.
Yes, with the optional transit system, which meets WC-19 up to 265 lbs.
No. The QRi is a rigid chair with the footrest built into the front frame. Choose a tubular or platform footrest in the build.
No. The QRi is built to order to one user's measurements, so it cannot be returned. The Sunrise warranty covers defects.
