A simple, durable folding chair
The Quickie QXi is Sunrise Medical's low-maintenance folding ultralight wheelchair, 28.8 lbs. and rated to 300 lbs. Its axle plate adjusts both up and down and fore and aft, and the hemi frame reaches front seat heights as low as 12.5".
You choose the frame, sizes, wheels, seat heights, casters, hangers, footplate, back, arms and color, and every choice is checked against Sunrise's rules, its front and rear seat height charts, its tire and handrim charts and its leg length charts as you build.

Low seat heights
The hemi frame reaches a 12.5" front seat, low enough for a user who pushes with the feet.
Adjustable axle plate
The QXi's axle plate moves up and down and fore and aft, with a 1" to 3" center of gravity.
Hangers for every need
Swing in and out hangers at 60, 70 or 80 degrees, articulating legrests, or elevating legrests in two mounts.
EXO upholstery
EXO back upholstery comes standard or tension adjustable, alongside ballistic nylon and 3DX vented.

The Quickie QXi suits a user who wants a folding Quickie that is simple to keep running, with the choice of swing in and out hangers, articulating legrests or elevating legrests. Start with the frame: the hemi frame sits lower for a user who pushes with the feet. Choose the rear wheel and rear seat height first, since Sunrise's chart sets the heights each wheel reaches, then pick the caster, fork and stem bolt together, because those three decide which front seat heights are left. The hanger and footplate come last and have to clear the ground at your front seat height. Take the user's measurements with Sunrise's measuring guide on the Resources tab before you build.

Common questions
Measure the user seated on a firm surface. Hip width is the widest point across the hips. Seat depth is from the back of the hips to the back of the knee. Lower leg length is from the back of the knee to the bottom of the heel. Sunrise's measuring guide is on the Resources tab.
A lower frame that brings the seat closer to the floor, for a user who propels with the feet. On Sunrise's charts it reaches front seat heights from 12.5" and rear seat heights from 12".
The QXi's axle plate adjusts both vertically and horizontally, which sets the center of gravity, and it carries HCPCS code K0005. The QX adjusts vertically only and is K0004.
They do not work with a choice you have already made. The reason is printed on the option, and every rule comes from Sunrise's order form and its charts.

No. The QXi is built to order to one user's measurements, so it cannot be returned. The Sunrise warranty covers defects.
