The TiLite ZRA is Permobil's titanium mono-tube rigid wheelchair with full adjustability, built to order from 10" to 20" wide. It is rated to 265 lbs., or 300 lbs. on the heavy duty frame.

What stands out
Mono-tube frame
The ZRA frame is a single titanium tube on each side, 1.25" in diameter, with full adjustability for positioning that can change over time.
Built to your measurements
TiFit sets the rear seat width, seat depth, seat heights, frame angle, back height and footrest to the user, in 0.5" steps on the heights, from a 10" x 10" seat up.
Adjustable center of gravity
The rear axle position is set from 0" to 5" in front of the back post in 0.25" steps, and can be moved later to fine-tune the balance.
Transit tie-down option
The transit tie-downs add four tie-down brackets, two pelvic belt mounting brackets and a reinforced frame, crash tested to WC-19 with the user seated facing forward.
Depth adjustable back frame
On 10" to 18" seat depths the depth adjustable back frame gives 2" of rearward adjustment at no charge.
Frame finishes
Satin titanium or 21 powder coated colors at no charge, four front tube tattoos on a satin frame, and a color anodize package for the caster mount, fork and caps.
The Hieline Insight
The TiLite ZRA suits a full-time rigid chair user up to 265 lbs. who wants a titanium frame that can still be adjusted after delivery, or up to 300 lbs. on the heavy duty frame, which is no charge at 20" x 20". It is also built down to a 10" x 10" seat, rated to 150 lbs. at 12" x 12" and smaller. Start with the rear seat width and depth, then the seat taper, because the 1.5" taper needs the V-front end and the footrest width chart only offers standard front end widths without one. Set the front and rear seat heights next and pick the rear wheel size to match, since each wheel size covers its own range of rear seat heights. Keep the seat to footrest length at least 2" under the front seat height. If the user will ride in a vehicle seated in the chair, add the transit tie-downs and the Q'Straint pelvic belt. If you plan to add a SmartDrive, keep the rear seat height at 13.5" or more and skip the 20" wheels. Take the measurements with Permobil's TiFit reference diagrams on the last page of the order form before you build.

Common questions
Measure seated on a firm surface. Permobil's TiFit reference diagrams on page 10 of the order form, on the Resources tab, show where each letter on the build is taken: rear seat width A, seat depth B, front seat height C, rear seat height D, seat to footrest E and back height F.
Both are titanium mono-tube rigid frames on the same order form. The ZRA is the fully adjustable frame and takes the WC-19 transit tie-downs. The ZR has minimal adjustability, a titanium fork stem as standard, the fixed height titanium back and the carbon fiber camber tube.
265 lbs. on the standard frame and 300 lbs. on the heavy duty frame. Permobil rates a 10" x 10" to 12" x 12" seat to 150 lbs. The SmartDrive MX2+ is rated for users up to 331 lbs.
Permobil's order form makes the heavy duty frame no charge with a 20" rear seat width and a 20" seat depth. At every other size it is an upcharge. Billet aluminum casters are included with it either way.
Only with the transit tie-down option. Permobil crash tested the ZRA with that option to WC-19 and ISO 7176-19 in one configuration, secured facing forward with a wheelchair-anchored pelvic belt and a vehicle-anchored shoulder belt. The Q'Straint pelvic belt it was tested with is a separate choice on the build. Permobil still recommends transferring to the vehicle seat. Without the option, or with only the transport brackets, the chair must not be occupied in a vehicle.
Permobil's order form ties choices together. The footrest width chart sets the standard front end widths for each rear seat width, a seat taper needs the V-front end, each rear wheel size covers its own range of rear seat heights, and the heavy duty frame needs the folding aluminum back with the 4" rigidizer bar, tension adjustable back upholstery and 0 or 2 degrees of camber.
The ZR and ZRA brochure lists camber to 12 degrees, a folding back to 22" and a 6" center of gravity range for the ZRA. This page follows Permobil's March 2026 order form, which is what the chair is ordered against.
Permobil's brochure gives an 11.2 lbs. transport weight for a 16" x 16" ZRA with standard features and no rear wheels.

Permobil notes that on-screen colors are for reference only. The powder coat swatches use the colors Permobil publishes on its own site, and the satin swatch is sampled from Permobil's TRA photographs.
