The Vive Folding Mobility Scooter is built around one job, which is getting a scooter into a car trunk without wrestling with latches. It folds and unfolds by motor from a remote or from the switch on the scooter, it weighs 55.1 lbs. with its lithium battery, and Vive shows it 36" tall when folded. The limits are plain. Vive rates it for 220 lbs. and its manual calls it an indoor type scooter for indoor floors and flat paths, with 1" of ground clearance and a 9° limit on slopes, so it is the wrong tool for grass, gravel or a steep driveway. The seat is small, and Vive's website says the scooter suits riders 5'5" and under. Top speed is 3.7 mph. Vive's manual gives 11.2 miles on a charge, and real range falls with rider weight and hills. We have three new units on display in our Plano showroom, sold as a final sale for pickup at the store or local delivery, so come sit on one and watch it fold before you decide.

The owner's manual for this product has its own warranty section, and that section is the complete statement of what Vive Health covers, for how long, and what falls outside the coverage. Read it before you file a claim. If anything on this page differs from the manual, go by the manual.
This is a new showroom display unit and it is sold as a final sale. It cannot be returned or exchanged.
It is on the floor at our Plano store, so you can see it in person before you buy.

What is a showroom display unit?
It is a new scooter that has been on display in our Plano showroom. We have three of them. You can buy one on this page for pickup at our Plano store or local delivery, or buy one in the store.
Can it be shipped or delivered?
It is not shipped. We deliver it within 50 miles of our Plano store: $89 up to 10 miles, then $20 more for each additional 10 miles, up to 50 miles. Checkout works out the fee from your address. You can also pick it up at the store. Hieline, 720 F Ave, Suite 101, Plano, TX 75074. We are open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 12pm to 4pm.
Can I return it?
No. It is a showroom display unit sold as a final sale, so it cannot be returned or exchanged. Come see it at the store first.
What surfaces is it for?
Vive's manual calls it an indoor type scooter for indoor floors and flat paths. It says not to ride it on grass, gravel, wet or slick surfaces, or slopes steeper than 9°. Ground clearance is 1".
How does it fold?
It folds and unfolds by motor. Press the buttons on the remote in the order Vive's manual gives, or use the folding switch on the scooter. The remote works only with the key out of the ignition and the power switch set to full power.
How tall can the rider be?
Vive's website says the scooter is ideal for riders 5'5" and under, and one of Vive's own pictures says 5 feet to 6'1". The two do not agree, so try it in the store.
What is the warranty?
Vive's owner's manual for the MOB1030 lists one year on the frame and one year on the control system, controller, motor and gearbox, charger and lithium battery. It excludes the shroud, rubber pads, tires, upholstery and seat. Vive's website today lists one year on the frame, six months on the electrical parts, batteries, horn and controller, 90 days on the handles and charger, 60 days on the battery case, and 30 days from arrival on wheels, hardware, cushions, seats, paint, panels and keys. Ask us how those terms apply to a display unit before you buy.
Where do the specifications come from?
They come from Vive's owner's manual for the MOB1030, in the Resources tab, and from Vive's website, which lists its folding scooter under part number MOB1058BLK today with the same pictures. Where the two differ, this page prints the manual. The website gives up to 11.3 miles per charge and a 6.5' turning radius, and one of its answers says 225 lbs. where the rest say 220 lbs. The manual gives a seat 14.2" wide and 13.8" above the platform, and the website gives 14.7" X 13.78" and 14".
