The side frames are carbon fiber and the cross and handle bars are aircraft grade aluminum, so the whole rollator weighs 10.6 lbs. That is the weight you lift into a car trunk, onto a bus or up a step.

Folds flat in one motion
Lift the seat and the frame folds to 9.8" wide. Push the seat down and it opens again. The elastic lock that comes with it holds it closed for travel.

Handles that face forward
The handles point forward, so you walk closer to the frame and stand more upright. They adjust on a push button from 30.7" to 37.4" in 1.2" steps.

Brake cables inside the frame
The cables run inside the carbon frame, so nothing loops out to catch on a door handle or a shopping bag. Pull the levers up to slow down and push them down to lock the wheels before you sit.

Soft, puncture-proof wheels
The 7.9" wheels have a soft PUR tread that eases the bumps in the pavement and cannot go flat. byACRE rates them for sidewalks, paved and park paths, compact gravel and grass.

The reason to buy the Carbon Ultralight is the weight. At 10.6 lbs. it is a rollator you lift into a car trunk with one hand, and it folds flat to 9.8" so it fits where a boxier frame does not. The part to get right is the size, because the three widths differ in seat width and seat height and the handles do not change that. The Compact and Regular seats are narrow at 16.1" and 16.5", and the Compact seat sits lower at 22.4", so measure your hips before you choose, and when in doubt take the Wide, which is byACRE's own advice. The trade for the weight is in the wheels: the 7.9" puncture-proof wheels suit pavement, park paths and compact gravel, and they are not made for rough ground. The frame carries 285 lbs., the carbon is covered for life once you register it with byACRE, and it arrives assembled with an organiser bag under the seat.

How do I choose between Compact, Regular and Wide?
Go by seat width and seat height. The Compact has a 16.1" seat at 22.4" high, the Regular a 16.5" seat at 24.0" and the Wide an 18.5" seat at 24.0". Your hips should be slightly narrower than the seat. byACRE says most people prefer the Wide, because the Compact and Regular are narrower than most rollators, and recommends the larger size when in doubt. The handle range, 30.7" to 37.4", is the same on all three.
How do I set the handle height?
Stand in the shoes you walk in and measure from the floor to your wrist. Set the handles at that height, plus about 1/2" to 3/4" for a natural grip.
How heavy is it, and how big is it folded?
It weighs 10.6 lbs. Folded, it measures 26.0" long, 9.8" wide and 31.5" high.
What is the weight limit?

byACRE covers the rollator for 2 years and the carbon frame for life for the original owner. The lifetime frame cover applies when you register the rollator at byacre.com within three months of purchase, so keep your proof of purchase. Moving parts, misuse and normal wear are not covered.
