Built for real life

What stands out

●
Reclines from upright to flat
Squeeze the release on the push handle and set the back at any angle from 90 to 180 degrees. Changing position relieves pressure and lets your child rest without leaving the chair.
●
Full back and head support
A tall back with a curved headrest and neck support holds the head and trunk in every position of the recline. The headrest lifts out of the back canes.
●
Elevating legrests included
Swing-away legrests with padded calf pads raise the legs as the back goes down. They adjust in length and angle and lift off for transfers.
●
Steady in recline
Anti-tippers come with the chair, and Circle Specialty says to keep them on, because a reclined chair can tip backward. A stabilizer bar braces the back.
●
Two seat heights
The dual axle sets the seat 15" or 16" from the floor. The quick-release rear wheels with hand rims let an older child push the chair alone.
●
Folds for the car
Loosen the knob on the stabilizer bar, fold the footplates up and lift the seat at its center. The chair folds to 12" wide.
The Hieline Take

The Ziggo Pro is the Ziggo with a reclining back, and the recline is the reason to buy it. A child who tires, needs to rest flat, or sits for long hours can be reclined anywhere from upright to flat without leaving the chair, and the elevating legrests rise as the back goes down so the body stays supported along its length. The headrest, the legrests and the anti-tippers all come in the box, and Circle Specialty is firm that the anti-tippers stay on whenever the back is down. It is a steel chair at 44 lbs., so it suits a caregiver who pushes more than a child who propels all day, and it reclines the back and not the seat: if your child needs the seat and back to tilt together, look at a tilt-in-space chair instead. Choose the 12" for a younger child up to 150 lbs. and the 14" for an older one up to 200 lbs. If your child sits upright all day and does not need to recline, the Ziggo does the same job for less.

Straight talk

Is it right for you?

A good fit if you

  • need a child's wheelchair whose back reclines for rest or for pressure relief
  • want a headrest, elevating legrests and anti-tippers included
  • need a chair that still folds for the car
  • have a child up to 150 lbs. in the 12" or 200 lbs. in the 14"
  • want hand rims so an older child can push alone

Look elsewhere if you

  • need a 16" or wider seat
  • need tilt in space, where the seat and back tilt together
  • need a wheelchair that is also a seat in a bus or a van
  • want a lighter chair for all-day self-propelling; this one weighs 44 lbs.
  • need no recline at all, where the Ziggo costs less
