The Hieline Take
The Curve is Comfort's everyday cushion, and it does two simple things well. The shelf under the thighs is mild and helps keep you from sliding forward, and the separator between the legs keeps the thighs in line. The molded foam spreads your weight over more of the surface, and at 1.2 lbs. there is nothing to pump up or check. It is a general use cushion, so it is the right pick for comfort and stability and the wrong one if a clinician has asked for skin protection. Match your seat size, pick the cover that suits you, and check the weight limit for your width, which runs from 100 lbs. at 12" and under to 400 lbs. at 22" and wider.

The owner's manual for this product has its own warranty section, and that section is the complete statement of what Comfort Company covers, for how long, and what falls outside the coverage. Read it before you file a claim. If anything on this page differs from the manual, go by the manual.
A cushion is a support surface that sits against the body, so once it ships it cannot be returned. Measure the seat of your wheelchair before you order and use the size steps above. The warranty is unaffected, so a defect is still covered.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Comfort Company for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number.
Permobil classes the Curve as a general use cushion, billed under HCPCS E2601 or E2602. It is made for comfort and stability. If a clinician has asked for skin protection, look at the Comfort M2, which is a skin protection and positioning cushion.
Comfort-Tek or Stretch-Air?
Comfort-Tek is the cover for fluid protection and it wipes clean. Stretch-Air is the cover for comfort and heat dissipation. Both are two-way stretch with a fluid-resistant top and sides, a zipper, a non-skid bottom and loop fasteners, and both come at the same price.
How do I choose the size?
Match the width and depth of your wheelchair seat. The Depth step only offers the depths Comfort makes at the width you picked.
Why can I not pick 13" W X 16" D in Stretch-Air?
Comfort makes that one size in the Comfort-Tek cover only.
Why do 22" to 24" widths cost more?
Comfort lists cushions 22" to 24" wide at a higher price. They are billed under HCPCS E2602 instead of E2601.
What is the weight limit?
It depends on the width: 100 lbs. at 12" and under, 150 lbs. at 14", 250 lbs. at 16", 300 lbs. at 18", 350 lbs. at 20" and 400 lbs. at 22" and wider. Permobil's product page gives 400 lbs., which is the limit at 22" and wider. Permobil does not print a figure for 13", 15", 17", 19" or 21".
Why is there one photograph?
Permobil publishes one photograph of the Curve in its cover. The other Curve photograph Permobil publishes shows a strap-on cover version that is not on the current order form, so we left it off.
How long is the warranty?
Permobil's Comfort Company warranty policy covers the cushion for 5 years and the cover for 6 months against manufacturing defects. Permobil's product page and catalog give the same terms.
Can I return it?
No. A cushion is a support surface, so it cannot be returned once it ships. The warranty still applies to any defect.
Is Hieline an authorized Permobil supplier?
Yes. Hieline is a Permobil Authorized Supplier, and Permobil makes Comfort Company cushions.
