ComfyGo G5 Pro
A folding travel power chair that weighs 40 lbs. before the battery and folds to 29.5" x 22" x 12" with an integrated suitcase handle. Two brushless motors give it up to 4 mph and up to 13 miles on a charge, and it carries up to 265 lbs.
40 lbs. before the battery and 13 miles on brushless motors
A folding travel power chair built for the person who has to lift it as well as the person who sits in it. The frame weighs 40 lbs. before the battery and folds to 29.5" x 22" x 12", and an integrated suitcase handle lets you wheel it beside you rather than carry it. Two 200W brushless motors drive it to 4 mph, the 24V 10Ah lithium battery is rated up to 13 miles, and electromagnetic brakes hold it on a slope. The joystick detaches from the armrest and fits on either side. Weight capacity is 265 lbs. and the cushion measures 17.5" wide by 16.9" deep.
Built for real life
What stands out
Folds to 12" high at 40 lbs.
The frame folds to 29.5" x 22" x 12" in one movement. Nothing comes apart and no tools are needed, and an integrated suitcase handle lets you wheel it beside you instead of carrying it. The heaviest single piece is 37.8 lbs.
24V 10Ah lithium battery, up to 13 miles
The battery is rated up to 13 miles and charges in 4 to 8 hours. ComfyGo lists the G5 Pro as airline approved, and their manual asks you to confirm the current rules with your airline or cruise line before you travel.
Brushless motors and electromagnetic brakes
Two 200W brushless motors run on a 24V 40A controller, so there are no motor brushes to wear out. The brakes are electromagnetic and hold the chair on a slope, and the 11" rear and 7" front tires are solid, so there is nothing to inflate and nothing to puncture.
Quilted 17.5" cushion and a joystick that detaches
The cushion measures 17.5" wide by 16.9" deep on a quilted seat and backrest, and the seat sits 19" off the ground. The joystick lifts off the armrest, and you choose which armrest it is fitted on when you order.
The G5 Pro is the G5 with the two changes that matter to whoever lifts the chair into the car. It weighs 40 lbs. before the battery against the G5's 46, its heaviest single piece is 37.8 lbs. against 43.8, and it reaches up to 13 miles on the same 24V 10Ah battery where the G5 reaches 10. The motors are brushless, so there are no motor brushes to wear out, and the joystick lifts off the armrest instead of staying bolted to it. The honest caveat is that the extra $200 buys none of the things the word Pro usually promises. It carries the same 265 lbs., it runs the same 4 mph, and its 400W of brushless power reads lower on paper than the G5's 500W of brushed. If capacity is what decides it for you, the IQ-8000 carries 330 lbs. If range is, the X-7 is rated to 23 miles on its two batteries.
Straight talk
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- want a chair that travels, it folds to 29.5" x 22" x 12" and wheels beside you on its own suitcase handle
- are the one lifting it, the frame is 40 lbs. before the battery and the heaviest single piece is 37.8 lbs.
- need more than 10 miles from a single battery, the G5 Pro is rated up to 13 on the same 10Ah pack
- want the joystick on a particular side, it detaches from the armrest and you fit it on either one
- use a chair indoors and on paved ground, it climbs to 10 degrees and ComfyGo recommends staying under 9 degrees in daily use
Look elsewhere if you
- weigh more than 265 lbs., this chair stops there and the IQ-8000 carries 330 lbs.
- need more than 13 miles between charges, the X-7 is rated to 23 miles on its two batteries
- cross grass, gravel and steep thresholds often, the G5 Pro runs solid tires and ComfyGo caps daily use at 9 degrees
- want a powered reclining backrest, the G5 Pro does not recline and the X-9 does
- are choosing on price alone, the G5 is $200 less and carries the same 265 lbs. at the same 4 mph

Common questions
40 lbs. before the battery goes in and 45 lbs. with it. The heaviest single piece is 37.8 lbs., because the chair folds in one piece rather than coming apart. It folds to 29.5" x 22" x 12" and the integrated suitcase handle lets you wheel it to the car, so the carry is short even though the lift is real. That is about 5 lbs. less than the standard G5.
ComfyGo publishes up to 13 miles on the 24V 10Ah lithium battery, which is 3 miles further than the standard G5 gets from the same size pack. Real range varies with your weight, the terrain, the temperature and how old the battery is, so plan on comfortably less than the headline figure. A full charge takes 4 to 8 hours.
Three things. The Pro is 40 lbs. before the battery against the G5's 46, its motors are brushless rather than brushed, and it goes up to 13 miles against 10 on the same battery. The joystick also detaches from the armrest. Capacity, speed and every dimension are the same on both, so if none of those three things matter to you, the G5 does the same job for $200 less.
Either side. The joystick detaches from the armrest and you fit it on the left or the right yourself, so there is nothing to choose when you order. It also comes off when you fold the chair.
No. The G5 Pro is driven from the detachable joystick on the armrest. ComfyGo's universal Bluetooth remote fits the G5 Pro and you can add it in the Accessories step of the Build and Buy section above.
The chair is 22" wide, so it clears a standard 32" doorway with room to spare. The number that matters more indoors is the turning radius, which is 47" or less, so measure your narrowest hallway corner before you order.
ComfyGo lists the G5 Pro as airline approved, and their manual asks you to confirm the current rules with your airline or cruise line before you travel, because every carrier sets its own lithium battery policy. The pack is 24V and 10Ah.
Yes. We offer CareCredit financing with plans from 6 to 60 months. Use the payment estimate near the price to see monthly options and prequalify with a soft credit check that does not affect your score.

See how this power wheelchair compares
Pick another power wheelchair in the same category and see a clear, side by side look at the specs that matter. Every figure on both sides is published by the manufacturer.

This sets the frame color. It does not change how the chair drives, what it weighs or how far it goes, and both colors are the same price.
Black is a gloss black frame with a quilted black seat.
Silver is a brushed silver frame with the same quilted black seat.
Optional. Tap any add-on to include it in your order. What does this mean?
These are extras that fit onto the power wheelchair, and every one of them is optional. Adding them here means they arrive with it rather than as a separate order later.
Read each card before you add two of them. Some accessories mount in the same place, so only one of those can be fitted at a time.
Select one.What does this mean?
This section is how your order reaches you and how far into your home it comes.
Curbside is the free option. The power wheelchair ships from the manufacturer straight to your address. Allow about two to three days for the order to be processed and shipped, then about five more in transit depending on where you live. No carrier in this trade quotes an exact date, so treat both figures as estimates rather than promises. It arrives boxed at the curb, and getting it inside is yours to arrange.
This one comes in a single box and the setup is not hard. The box goes through a normal doorway and most people manage it on their own. The free option is a fair choice here.
Inside delivery means we bring it just inside your front door or into the garage, still in its packaging.
White glove takes a different route. It does not come to your address first. It ships to the delivery technician nearest you, and once it arrives there the technician calls you and books a time that suits you, then brings it into your home, sets it up in the room you choose, checks it for shipping damage and takes all the packaging away. That extra leg adds a few days, and the date is settled between you and the technician, so we cannot give you one up front.
