Overview
No motors and nothing to plug in head, foot and height all crank by hand

A fully manual homecare bed. There are no motors on it at all: the head, the foot and the overall height are each set with a hand crank. Nothing plugs in, so nothing fails in a power cut and there is no motor to replace. It holds 450 lbs. and takes a 36" wide by 80" long mattress.

Built for real life

What stands out

●
There are no motors on it
Head, foot and height are each a hand crank. Nothing plugs into the wall, so there is no motor, no control box and no pendant to fail or replace.
●
It works in a power cut
A bed that never needed electricity cannot lose it. That is the reason to choose a manual bed where the supply is unreliable or where the bed has to work anywhere in the house.
●
Same frame as the powered Delta Pro beds
The Delta Pro is one frame with several drive options. This is the manual one, and it shares the deck, the bed ends and the accessories with the semi-electric and full-electric versions.
●
Holds 450 lbs.
That covers the person, the mattress and anything else on the bed. Drive rates the patient alone at 350 lbs.
●
Two locking casters
Four 3" casters, two of which lock, so the bed stays put for a transfer and still rolls for cleaning.
●
It can be made 4" longer
A bed extender bolts to the foot end and lengthens the sleeping surface for a taller user. It is ordered separately.
The Hieline Take

This is the cheapest way into the Delta Pro frame and the only version with nothing electrical on it, and both of those are the reason to buy it. There is no motor, no control box and no pendant, so there is nothing on this bed that can stop working, and it does not care whether the power is on. Against that, every adjustment is somebody standing at the end of the bed turning a handle, including the head section, which is the one a person in bed most often wants changed and cannot change for themselves. That is the honest trade. If the person using it can get comfortable and stay that way, or if a carer is present for every adjustment anyway, this bed does the job for a few hundred dollars less than the powered versions. If they want to sit themselves up to eat or read, buy a semi-electric bed instead, because on this one they will have to ask every time. The kit is the frame, the boards, the cranks and the casters. Rails and the mattress are both separate.

Straight talk

Is it right for you?

A good fit if you

  • want a bed with nothing electrical on it to fail or replace
  • are setting up a bed where the power supply is unreliable
  • do not need the head or foot changed more than once or twice a day
  • weigh up to 350 lbs., with a total load on the bed up to 450 lbs.

Look elsewhere if you

  • need positions changed several times a day, where a semi-electric bed is worth the difference
  • want the person in the bed to be able to sit themselves up without help
  • need a fall-prevention height, which this frame does not offer
  • want rails or a mattress included, because both are ordered separately
