A three layer therapeutic foam mattress, 36" W X 80" L X 6" H, rated to 400 lbs. The top layer is die-cut for zoned pressure redistribution, the heel is sloped with a channel cut centre, and high density foam runs round the perimeter to hold the edge firm for transfers.
What stands out
The reason to spend the extra over the Gravity 6 is the edge, not the middle. High density foam round the perimeter is what lets somebody sit on the side of the bed and swing their legs out without the mattress collapsing under them, and if the person using this bed still transfers themselves that one detail will matter more every day than anything happening under their hips. The three layers and the ten year foam warranty are the other half of the argument, because a mattress that articulates with an adjustable deck is the one that does not develop a permanent fold across the knee break in year two. Where it stops is 400 lbs. and a flat top with no raised sides, so if you need bolsters to stop somebody rolling out, this is not the one, and if a clinician has already put the words alternating pressure in writing then no foam mattress is the answer regardless of how it is built.

Mattresses cannot be returned. A mattress goes straight onto a bed somebody sleeps in, so once it has left us we cannot put it back into stock. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at no cost to you, and the manufacturer warranty still applies.
