What stands out
Buy this one because somebody told you to, not because it sounds better than the foam mattresses above it. An alternating pressure surface is a different category of thing: it moves air between cells so no patch of skin carries load for long, and it is what gets specified once an ulcer has already formed or once somebody cannot reposition themselves at all. If nobody has said those words to you, a Gravity 8 will serve you better, cost less and never hum. What makes this particular system the sensible one in the Med-Aire range is servicing. The twenty cells come out one at a time and the tubing is quick release, so a failure two years in is a part you replace rather than a mattress you rebuy, and that is not true of the cheaper overlay systems where the bladder is one piece. The honest limits are 350 lbs., a 35" width, and a visual alarm rather than an audible one, which matters if the bed is in a room nobody is sitting in.

Mattresses cannot be returned. A mattress goes straight onto a bed somebody sleeps in, so once it has left us we cannot put it back into stock. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at no cost to you, and the manufacturer warranty still applies.
