Click to zoomDrive P703 Battery Backup
The P703 battery backup lets the bed work if it is unplugged from the wall or the power fails. Drive says it is for emergency use only.
The Drive battery backup for the Prime Care P703. It keeps the bed working in an emergency when the power fails or the bed is unplugged.
What stands out
Without a battery the P703 cannot move when it is not plugged in, so a power cut can leave the bed high or tilted. With this backup fitted the bed still works from its controls. The P703 manual mounts the battery on a steel plate at the center of the bed frame and plugs it into port CH5 of the control box, and it names the Timotion TBB2 as the only compatible battery. Charge it for at least 24 hours before first use, recharge it after any use, and do not run it flat: Drive warns that a battery left dead can go into hibernation and never recharge. Drive says not to use it to demonstrate a bed or in a damp place. It weighs 3.4 lbs.
