What stands out
Buy this bed for the 7.8" and nothing else, because that is what you are paying the difference for. A standard homecare bed stops around 15" at the deck, and the gap between those two numbers is the difference between a fall out of bed being a serious injury and being a bad night. If nobody is getting out of bed unassisted, the low setting will never be used and a cheaper full-electric bed does the same job. The second thing to check is the mattress, because it works directly against the feature you bought: this bed takes 5.5" to 7", and putting a thick pressure-relief mattress on it raises the sleeping surface by most of what the low setting gained you. If pressure care and fall risk are both in play, that tension is worth talking through before you order rather than after. The rest of it is straightforward. Everything moves on the motor, the head goes to 68 degrees which is upright enough to eat in, the electrics are sealed to IP66 so the bed can be washed down properly, and at 88" to 90" long with the bumper on it needs more wall than a domestic bed.

Look elsewhere if you
- only need a standard homecare bed, where the Delta Ultra-Light costs a great deal less
- want to use a thick pressure mattress, because anything over 7" cancels out the low setting
- need a deck wider than 36" or a load over 450 lbs.
- have no room for a bed that is 88" to 90" long with the wall bumper fitted
