What stands out
An assist bar gives the person something to hold as they move in and out of bed. Where it goes depends on the bed. The P503 manual mounts the bar at the head deck. The P903 manual mounts it at the head deck on its own, or at both the head and the foot deck. The P703 manual mounts it at the foot deck only and says it cannot be used on its own: it goes with a rotating assist rail or a deluxe rotating assist rail at the head deck. Each manual shows the mounting positions, and Drive warns that a rail mounted anywhere else can cause serious injury. The pair weighs 11.9 lbs., and the P703 manual says the bars and rails add 3" to each side of the bed. Drive sells PLTCAB as one pair, and lists it for the P503, P703 and P903.
