Built for ultralight wheelchairs. The Empulse F35 docks to the front of your chair and pulls it up to 9.3 miles on a charge. It clamps to a straight 1.5" section of round or oval front frame tube, so it suits ultralight chairs from Quickie, TiLite, Ki Mobility, Motion Composites and RGK. It does not fit a standard steel or depot chair, a tilt-in-space chair, or a carbon frame.
Sunrise's micro pull device clips to the front of a manual wheelchair and drives it at up to 9.3 mph.
What stands out
The F35 suits someone who pushes well around the house but wants help getting across town, a campus or an airport. It turns the chair into a ride you steer with handlebars, so you stop pushing while it is docked, and it undocks in a moment when you get where you are going. It weighs 16.5 lbs. to lift, and the handlebars fold flat for the car. Measure the front frame width carefully, since Sunrise builds the clamps to that figure. Choose the 3.7 mph top speed only if the rider needs a hard limit, because the 9.3 mph setting already includes a slow mode.
