The Aquatec Ocean Ergo Self Propel is a stainless steel shower and commode chair with 24" rear wheels, so the person can wheel themselves. It rolls over most standard toilets and comes with a collection pan, lid and pan support guide rail.
Invacare's Aquatec Ocean Ergo Self Propel adds 24" rear wheels with quick release axles and wheel locks to the Ocean Ergo, so a person with the arm strength can get to the shower and the toilet on their own.
What stands out
The Ocean Ergo Self Propel is the Ocean Ergo for someone who wants to get to the bathroom without waiting for help. The 24" rear wheels have quick release axles and wheel locks, so the person pushes themselves and parks the chair where they need it. It still rolls over most standard toilets, the seat plate tilts back 5 degrees for a natural toileting position, and the seat height adjusts from 18.5" to 23" by hand to clear the toilet. The armrests and footrests swing away for side transfers and the footplates flip up with heel loops. The frame is stainless steel and rust proof, and it comes with the collection pan and lid. The standard frame carries 330 lbs. and the XL frame carries 398 lbs. with more room between the arms. It is a wider chair at 26" overall, so measure your bathroom door before you order. If a caregiver will always push, the Ocean Ergo does the same job for less.
