Invacare's Aquatec Ocean Ergo takes a person from the bed to the shower and over the toilet on one chair, with swing-away armrests and footrests for easy transfers and an ergonomic seat that holds an upright toileting position.
What stands out
The Ocean Ergo is the chair to look at when getting to the bathroom is the hard part. The person sits once and the caregiver rolls them into the shower or straight over a standard toilet, so there is no second transfer onto a toilet seat. The seat plate tilts back 5 degrees to hold a natural upright position on the toilet, and the seat height moves from 18.5" to 23" by hand, with no tools, to clear the toilet you have. The armrests and footrests swing away for side transfers, the footplates flip up with heel loops, and all four 5" casters lock, with one directional lock to keep it tracking straight. The frame is stainless steel and rust proof, the parts come off for cleaning, and it comes with the collection pan and lid for use away from the toilet. Choose the standard frame up to 330 lbs. or the XL frame up to 398 lbs., which adds width between the arms and a wider back. If the person cannot sit upright on their own, look at the Ocean Ergo VIP, which tilts.

A shower commode chair cannot be returned once it is delivered, for health and hygiene reasons. Check the frame size, the seat height and the width of your bathroom door before you order. If it arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and we will get it repaired or replaced at no cost to you. The warranty above still applies.
