The Reliant 600 is the Reliant 450's heavy-duty sibling, and it is the lift for someone above 450 lbs. It carries up to 600 lbs. and shares the same practical design, a hand pendant for lifting, two 24V batteries so one can charge on the wall while the other works, rear locking casters, and an emergency stop with a manual lowering release in case the power fails. The lift range is 28" to 68" at the hook-up, so it starts a little higher than the 450, and the base still slides under a bed with 4.5" of clearance. At these weights, choose one of the XXL heavy-duty slings rated to 600 lbs. The power opening base spreads the legs from the pendant, which saves the caregiver pushing a heavy base open by hand.
