JAY Flow fluid sits under the pelvis and a MemGel memory foam top, doubled over the seat bones, spreads your weight above it. The contoured base has 1" lateral pelvic wedges, so it positions as well as protects. There is nothing to pump, and the fluid is checked once a month. Pick Standard at 4.5" or Reduced Profile at 3.5", which JAY makes up to 20" wide. It comes in 84 sizes from 14" to 24" wide. A second outer cover is worth adding if the cushion is used every day.

The owner's manual for this product has its own warranty section, and that section is the complete statement of what Sunrise Medical covers, for how long, and what falls outside the coverage. Read it before you file a claim. If anything on this page differs from the manual, go by the manual.
A cushion is a support surface that sits against the body, so once it ships it cannot be returned. Measure before you order and use the size steps above. The warranty is unaffected, so a defect is still covered.

Who is the Union for?
Sunrise Medical classes the Union as a skin protection and positioning cushion, billed under HCPCS E2607 or E2608. It suits someone who needs skin protection with a softer, more comfortable top than a fluid pad alone. Sunrise recommends that a clinician experienced in seating decide whether it suits you.
Is there anything to pump or adjust?
No. The JAY Flow fluid needs no pumping. Check the cushion once a month when you clean it: the fluid should sit under your seat bones and the foam should feel even.
Standard or Reduced Profile?
Standard is 4.5" tall. Reduced Profile is 3.5" tall, which keeps your seat lower for reaching under tables and propelling with your feet. JAY makes the Reduced Profile in widths of 14" to 20" only, in 45 sizes.
Why would I want two outer covers?
So one can be washed while the other is on the cushion. Every Union comes with one outer cover and the inner cover. The second cover costs the same as the cover bought on its own: $83.25 to $102.75, depending on the size.
How do I choose the size?
Width is measured across the bottom of the cushion from outside edge to outside edge, and should match your hips when you sit. Depth is measured from the bottom front edge to the bottom rear edge, and the cushion should reach to within 1" to 2" of the back of your knees. We list JAY's 84 standard sizes.
What is the weight limit?
330 lbs. on cushions 14" to 21" wide and 500 lbs. on cushions 22" to 24" wide, as Sunrise's product page states. The Union owner's manual prints 350 lbs. and 600 lbs. We publish the lower figures.
Why do 22" to 24" widths cost more?
They carry the higher weight rating and are billed under HCPCS E2608. They cost $86.25 more on our page.
How do I clean it?
Machine wash the outer cover in warm water and drip dry or tumble dry on low. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or autoclave it. Wipe the inner cover with warm soapy water and let it air dry. Wipe the foam base with a damp cloth and no soap, and never submerge it.
How long is the warranty?
Sunrise Medical warrants the cushion base for 24 months and the removable covers for 6 months against defects in materials and workmanship. Punctures, tears and burns are not covered.
Can I return it?
No. A cushion is a support surface, so it cannot be returned once it ships. The warranty still applies to any defect.
