A Joerns length extender adds to the foot of the bed deck. The 4" extender takes an 80" WeCare or EasyCare frame to 84", and the 8" extender takes an EasyCare frame to 88".
What stands out
A length extender is for a person who is too tall for an 80" bed. It lengthens the bed deck at the foot, and each bed has its own. The WeCare takes a 4" extender, and the EasyCare takes a 4" or an 8" one, so pick the version for the bed you own. The 4" extender is made so an 84" mattress can go on an 80" frame. Two things matter once it is on. The mattress has to be long enough to fill the deck, because a gap at the head or foot panel is where a head or neck can be caught. And Joerns makes the extender for use with a foot panel, so do not sit on it or slide over it with the panel off. Check that the longer bed still leaves room to walk around it. We list no 88" mattress for the 8" extender.
