What stands out
A DermaFloat system is a mattress and a control unit, and the control unit is the part that moves the air. Joerns sells it alone, so a failed unit does not mean a new mattress. The two units are different machines and each runs its own mattress. The LAL unit moves more than 100 liters of air a minute for low air loss and has three modes, Autofirm, Therapy and Pulsate, with eight comfort settings. The APL unit alternates the pressure between two sets of cells on a cycle of 5, 10 or 15 minutes, has a static Therapy mode and Autofirm, and has eight comfort settings and a sensor that adds support when the person sits up. Both hang on the foot of the bed, lock their panels against accidental changes and let the air out fast for CPR at the hose connection. Pick the unit named for the mattress you own. If the mattress is worn as well, compare the two parts with the price of a whole system before you order, because together they cost about as much as the system.

Bed parts cannot be returned. If it arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and we will get it repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
