The Joerns drainage bag holder is a fixed point on the bed for hanging items such as a urine collection bag. It weighs 0.85 lbs., and Joerns lists it for the EasyCare.
The Joerns drainage bag holder mounts on the bed and gives a fixed point for hanging a urine collection bag below the person. Joerns lists it for the EasyCare.
What stands out
A drainage bag works by gravity, so it has to hang below the person and stay off the floor. This holder gives it a fixed place on the bed. Joerns designed it as an attachment point for items such as urine collection bags, and it weighs 0.85 lbs. The care is in how a low bed moves. The EasyCare goes very low, and a bag that hangs clear at working height can end up on the floor at the lowest height, where it can be stepped on or damaged. After you fit the holder and hang the bag, run every bed function through its full range and check that the bag is never pinched, caught or resting on the floor. Fit the holder only at the point the installation instructions show, and read the bag maker's instructions first, because a punctured bag is a biohazard. Joerns lists this part number for the EasyCare and the UltraCare XT.
