A person uses it as a handhold when sitting up, turning over or getting in and out of bed. Each handle is a steel loop with two cross bars, and it mounts to the side of the bed frame in one position. Joerns lists the F025 for the WeCare and the EasyCare and does not list it for the UltraCare XT. If you want a handle that pivots, that is the F026, and the molded handle is the F028. The handle is sold here as a pair because that is how it goes on a bed, one each side. Order the pair for a bed that has no assist device, or to replace handles that are bent or loose.
