It mounts to the side of the bed frame and gives a person a shaped grip to hold when sitting up, turning over or getting in and out of bed. The UltraCare XT takes a different F028, part number F028AL-UC, which this page does not sell. A pair weighs 16.5 lbs., and that weight counts toward the safe working load of the bed.
