A Joerns foam bolster that sits at the foot of the mattress and adds to its length. It lets the mattress you have fill a bed deck that has been lengthened, and it has a fire barrier.
What stands out
A length extender makes the bed deck longer, and the mattress then has to reach the foot panel. One way is a longer mattress. The other is this bolster, which sits across the foot of the mattress you already have and fills the added length. Joerns makes it of PrevaMatt foam with a fire barrier, in two sizes. The first is 4" x 6" x 35", which adds 4" to a mattress 35" wide and 6" deep, and Joerns lists it for the WeCare, the EasyCare and the UltraCare XT. The second is 8" x 42", which adds 8" to a mattress 42" wide, and Joerns lists it for the EasyCare and the UltraCare XT. Match the bolster to the extender on the bed, 4" with a 4" extender and 8" with an 8" one. The reason it matters is the gap. A space between the mattress and the head or foot panel is where a head or neck can be caught, so check that the mattress and the bolster together fill the deck from panel to panel.
