It has no cuts in the surface, no memory foam and no firm perimeter, and it carries 300 lbs. where the other three PrevaMatt mattresses carry 500 lbs. Joerns lists it for prevention only, so it suits a person who moves in bed without help and needs a clean, fire-rated mattress on a homecare bed. If the person spends most of the day in bed, sits on the edge to stand up, or weighs more than 300 lbs., the PrevaMatt Defend is the next step and adds the firm edge, the memory foam heel section and the 500 lbs. rating. The foam warranty on the Basic is 2 years against 5 years on the Defend. It comes in one size.

This product cannot be returned
Mattresses cannot be returned. A mattress goes straight onto a bed somebody sleeps in, so once it has left us we cannot put it back into stock. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at no cost to you, and the manufacturer warranty still applies.
