What stands out
The Defend is the first PrevaMatt with the features that set the range apart from a plain foam slab. It has two layers, a top layer cut into zones, a firm perimeter that holds the edge when a person sits on it, and a heel section in soft memory foam that slopes away from the heels. It carries 500 lbs., where the PrevaMatt Basic carries 300 lbs. and has none of those features. What the Defend does not have is memory foam under the body. That starts with the PrevaMatt Console. The Defend is the step in the range that adds the firm edge, the heel slope and the 500 lbs. rating to a foam mattress. Joerns lists it for prevention through Stage 1 pressure injuries. It comes in the 80" length only, with no raised perimeter option.

This product cannot be returned
Mattresses cannot be returned. A mattress goes straight onto a bed somebody sleeps in, so once it has left us we cannot put it back into stock. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours and we will put it right at no cost to you, and the manufacturer warranty still applies.
If something goes wrong
Call us first at 1-855-HIELINE. We file the claim with Joerns Healthcare for you and get the covered part sorted out rather than handing you a phone number.
