The frame is carbon fiber, it weighs 26 lbs. before the battery and 29 lbs. with it in, and one pull on the seat handle folds it to 26.8" x 11.4" x 28.3" so it rolls like a suitcase. Two 150W brushless motors drive it to 3.7 mph on three speeds, the 24V 10Ah lithium battery is rated to 10 miles, and the tires are flat-free. Weight capacity is 240 lbs., which is the lowest of Journey's five power chairs, so check that number before anything else.

The frame is carbon fiber, which is what gets the chair to 26 lbs. before the battery and 29 lbs. with it in. One pull on the seat handle folds it to 26.8" x 11.4" x 28.3", and it then rolls on its own wheels like a suitcase.
Removable 10Ah lithium battery
The 24V 10Ah battery is rated to 10 miles and lifts out with no tools, so it charges away from the chair and the lift into the car is 26 lbs. instead of 29 lbs. There is storage on the chair for a second battery.
Three colors and a 17.3" seat
Black, Blue and Red, with the accent carried on the armrests and the wheel rims. The seat is 17.3" wide and 15.7" deep, it sits 18.1" off the floor, and a backrest pouch comes in the box.
Flat-free tires and automatic braking
The 10.6" rear and 6.5" front tires are flat-free, so there is no air to check and nothing to puncture. The brakes engage automatically when you let go of the joystick, and rear anti-tippers are fitted.
The Air Elite is the chair to look at when someone else has to lift it. At 26 lbs. before the battery it is the lightest Journey chair you can get in a color, and the carbon fiber frame folds to 11.4" across, which is narrow enough to stand behind a car seat rather than fill a trunk. The number that decides it is capacity. It carries 240 lbs., the lowest in Journey's range, where the Zoomer carries 300 and the Air Elite Max carries 330, and there is no heavier-duty version of this frame. If the rider is anywhere near 240 lbs., the Air Elite Max is the same idea with 330 lbs. of capacity, twice the range and a wider seat, for $400 more. Journey is also explicit that this is a personal electric vehicle and not a medical device or a wheelchair, so do not buy it expecting Medicare or Medicaid to cover it.
