Click to zoomJourney Air Elite Max 12Ah Battery
This is the 12Ah lithium-ion battery for the Journey Air Elite Max. The chair carries two of them, one on each side, and this one drops into either side with no tools. It is sold one battery at a time.
One 24V 12Ah lithium-ion battery that fits either battery bay on the Air Elite Max and charges in the chair or on its own through a built-in port.
What stands out
The Air Elite Max runs on two of these batteries and switches from one to the other on its own, so most people buy a single battery to replace one that has worn out or to carry as a charged spare. Swapping takes a minute. Turn the joystick off, switch off the red power switch on the old battery, lift it out, drop the new one in and switch it back on. You can charge it in the chair through the back of the joystick, or take it out and plug the charger into its own port, which helps if the chair lives in the car or the garage. Journey advises against mixing a new battery with a worn one, so if both of yours are old, replace them as a pair. This battery fits the Air Elite Max only, and the Air Elite uses a different 10Ah battery.
