Ki Mobility's Axiom Back is a rigid wheelchair back with a bent aluminum shell, a foam layer and a breathable cover. Choose the back type, the width and height, and the mounting hardware, then add lateral pads, a headrest, a shell color or accessories if you need them.
Ki Mobility's Axiom Back is a rigid aluminum wheelchair back in four contours, 12" to 22" wide and 8" to 22" high, rated to 300 lbs. or 400 lbs. with BTX hardware.
What stands out
A rigid back like the Axiom replaces the sling upholstery on a wheelchair when the user needs the trunk held upright. Pick the contour by how much side support the user needs: the Posterior Back for a user who sits well and wants freedom to move, the Posterior Lateral or Lateral Back for moderate support, and the Deep Lateral for a user who needs firm support on both sides. Pick the height by where support should stop, below the shoulder blades for an active user or higher for a user who tires. Choose the width from the wheelchair's back frame, since each width fits a range of frames. DEX hardware lifts off for folding the chair, and BTX does the same at 400 lbs. A seating professional should set the back up on the chair, as Ki Mobility's manual advises.

The Ki Mobility Axiom Back is covered by Ki Mobility's own limited warranty. The coverage we have on record is below.
The owner's manual is the full warranty
The owner's manual for this product has its own warranty section, and that section is the complete statement of what Ki Mobility covers, for how long, and what falls outside the coverage. Read it before you file a claim. If anything on this page differs from the manual, go by the manual.
Owner's manualThis product cannot be returned
Ki Mobility builds each Axiom Back to the size and hardware you choose, so it cannot be returned once it ships. Measure the back frame of your wheelchair before you order and use the steps above. The warranty is unaffected, so a defect is still covered.
If something goes wrong
