The Hieline Take
This is the footplate from Motion Composites' Newton Ultralight package, sold on its own. The plate is carbon fiber, which is where it saves weight over the aluminum and composite plates, and rubber inserts across the surface keep a shoe from sliding. The angle adjusts, and the plate moves front to back across about 3", so the foot can sit flat where the leg puts it. It fits the swing-in and swing-out footrests on the Helio A7, Helio C2 and Helio Kids. Size goes by chair width, and you can order the pair or a single side. Motion Composites warrants its carbon fiber footplates for life to the first user.

Can I order both sides at once?
Yes. Under Side, choose Pair, and both footplates go in the cart together at the price of the two. Choose Right or Left to order one side.
Which size do I need?
Motion Composites sizes the footplate by chair width: 5.5" wide for 14" to 16" chairs, 6.5" for 17" and 18" chairs and 7.5" for 19" and wider.
What can be adjusted?
The angle of the plate, and its position front to back across about 3".
Does it fit a rigid chair?
No. This is the footplate for the swing-in and swing-out footrests on Motion Composites folding wheelchairs. The APEX and Veloce use a one piece footplate, which is a different part.
What should I have ready when I order?
The serial number of your Motion Composites wheelchair. Motion Composites asks for it on every parts order. Send it to us with your order number after you check out, and we match the part to the way your chair was built.
Will it fit a wheelchair from another brand?
Motion Composites publishes the fit for its own wheelchairs only, so we cannot promise it on another brand. Check the dimensions on this page against your chair before you order.
What is the warranty?
Motion Composites warrants its carbon fiber footplates against defects in materials and workmanship for life, for the first user. The clamp and hardware carry the 1 year component warranty.
