The Newton Gravity is a double-wall alloy rear wheel for Motion Composites wheelchairs, in 20", 22", 24", 25" and 26". It is sold as the wheel alone, one at a time.
The Newton Gravity is Motion Composites' performance wheel for pneumatic tires, with a double-wall rim, stainless steel spokes and a matte black finish.
What stands out
Weight in a rear wheel costs more than weight anywhere else on a chair, because you spin it up with every push. The Gravity is where Motion Composites took that weight out: 670 g for the 24" wheel. The rim is double-wall, which Motion Composites says adds stiffness so more of each push turns into forward motion, and it is laced with stainless steel spokes on squared heads. It is the upgrade wheel on the order forms and the wheel in the Newton Ultralight package. It also covers the two sizes the Newton One does not, 25" and 26". It comes as the wheel with its handrim hardware, without a tire, tube, handrim or axle, so plan to move those across from your old wheel or order them with it.
