The Newton One is a single-wall alloy spoke rear wheel for Motion Composites wheelchairs, in 20", 22" and 24". It is sold as the wheel alone, one at a time.
The Newton One is Motion Composites' standard spoke wheel. An insert holds the handrim hardware under the rim, so the tire stays on when the handrim changes.
What stands out
The Newton One is the wheel most Motion Composites chairs leave the factory on, so this is the like for like replacement when a wheel is damaged. Its useful trick is in the rim. On most wheelchair wheels the handrim screws are reached from under the tire, so changing or moving a handrim means taking the tire and tube off. The Newton One holds that hardware under the rim instead, and a handrim changes with a 4 mm Allen key and the tire still on. The rim is a single-wall alloy with stainless steel spokes and squared spoke heads, and it takes any pneumatic tire. It comes as the wheel with its handrim hardware, without a tire, tube, handrim or axle, so plan to move those across from your old wheel or order them with it.
