What stands out
The 5014 is the plain answer to getting someone from the car to the appointment and home again. What separates it from the cheapest transport chairs is wheel size. All four are 8", where most of this class runs 6" up front, and those two inches are the difference between rolling over a parking lot seam and stopping dead on it. The back folds down on a release at each side and the frame folds side to side, so it goes into a trunk flat at 18.95 lbs. The arms run the full length of the seat, which gives you more to push up from when you stand, and the footrests swing away and lift off for transfers. The honest limit is that nobody pushes themselves in this chair, because there are no hand rims, and nobody spends a whole day in it. If the seat needs to be wider, the 5023 is 20" across, and if the person in the chair wants to move under their own arms, the Axera 5017 is the one to look at.
