What stands out
Read the missing hand brakes as the product, because that is what Nova built. The Cruiser Classic brakes on weight rather than on a squeeze, and their own description says in plain words that it does not have locking hand brakes and is meant for people who cannot use them. That makes it a narrow, useful answer to a real problem: a walker that still stops for someone whose hands will not close on a lever, or who will not remember to. For anyone else it is the wrong buy, because a hand brake you can work gives you control over when and how hard you stop, and this gives you none. Two honest caveats. Nova publish almost nothing about this model, so what we can tell you about the brake mechanism ends where their own sentence ends, and we have not invented the rest. And everything measured on this page came off Nova's own two specification diagrams, because it appears in no page of their printed catalog and their website returns no specification table for it.
