Arms that flip back
The arm swings back on a hinge and stays with the chair, so a transfer to a bed takes one hand and one movement. They detach as well if you want them off entirely.

Anti-tippers included
Two anti-tip tubes come fitted at the rear. None of Nova's steel chairs include them, and they are what stops the chair going over backwards on a kerb cut or a ramp.

Aluminum arms and a mixed frame
The frame is steel and aluminum and the arms are aluminum, which brings the chair down to 31.25 lbs. at the 16" width.

Nylon that breathes
The seat and back are flame retardant black nylon, which runs cooler than vinyl over a long day.

Every width folds to between 11.25" and 11.5" across, which is narrower than either removable-arm steel chair and easier to fit behind a car seat.

Moving the rear axle sets the seat at 18" or 20" from the floor.
The Hieline Take

Two things make this the chair to order over Nova's steel chairs, and neither is the weight. One is the flip back arms: a carer moving someone from chair to bed and back six times a day does it one handed here. The other is the anti-tippers, which come fitted and are on no steel chair in the range. The weight saving over the nylon steel chair is about 1.25 lbs., which nobody will feel.

What you pay for it is $40 to $90 depending on width, and what you get with it is a folded width of 11.25" against 12.25" to 13.5" on the two removable-arm steel chairs, so it is also easier to put in a car. Nova list an adjustable height armrest, part W-7011, for this series and we do not carry it yet. Ask us and we will quote it with the chair.
