What stands out
This is the one to buy if the chair is going outdoors properly, and the reason is the combination rather than either half. Flip-up desk arms make a sideways transfer possible, which is what protects the carer's back and the user's confidence. Twelve inch rear wheels roll over the kerb cuts, driveway lips and pavement joints that stop an eight inch wheel dead and jolt whoever is sitting in it. No other Nova transport chair has both. You pay for it in weight: 27 lbs., the heaviest in the 300 lbs. range and eight pounds up on the ultra lightweight 379, so think about who is loading it into the car. Two things Nova leave out of their own catalog for this model and we have not filled in: there is no HCPCS code printed against it, and no seat belt listed, where most of the range has both.
