Nuprodx MC3000 Series Stationary Shower Commode Chair
The MC3000 is a stationary shower commode chair. You choose every part, and we check it against Sunrise's rules.
A shower chair and commode that goes where you go
A stationary shower commode chair on adjustable crutch tips, with heavy duty, tilt and travel models.
What stands out
Commode and shower chair in one
The commode opening sits over a standard or ADA-compliant toilet, and the same chair goes into the shower, so the user moves less.
Height set to the toilet
The legs adjust the seat from 16.5" to 24" off the floor on the non-tilt models and the TX, and 20" to 26" on the tilt models.
Tilt without casters
The tilt models use a center-of-mass tilt worked by a side-mounted crank, with seat-mounted footrests that tilt with the chair.
Built for 400 lbs.
The MC3200 and MC3200 Tilt have a 20" wide seat frame and a heavy duty base rated to 400 lbs.
Packs for travel
The MC3000 TX weighs about 20 lbs., assembles with one tool, and its two-part seat frame and cloth back fit the included carrying case.
Aircraft-grade materials
Corrosion-resistant aluminum, brass and stainless steel, built for a wet room and made in the United States.
The Hieline Insight
The MC3000 has no casters and no bridge. It weighs about 19 lbs. in its standard form, and it still gives a full commode opening, a shower seat and the same cushions, backs and positioning parts as the other Nuprodx systems. It suits a user who can get to the bathroom and onto the chair on their own, and it moves easily from one bathroom to another. The MC3200 adds a 20" wide frame and a 400 lbs. rating. The tilt models add a center-of-mass tilt for a user who needs pressure relief or a caregiver's access, without paying for casters. The TX is the travel model, and it folds into its own case at about 20 lbs. Choose the MC4000 instead if the user has to be wheeled to the toilet or into the shower.
Is it right for you?
A good fit if you
- A user who transfers onto the chair with little or no help.
- A user who travels and wants the same chair in a hotel bathroom, with the TX.
- A user up to 300 lbs., or up to 400 lbs. on the MC3200 models.
- A user who needs tilt for pressure relief but does not need the chair to roll.
- A bathroom with a standard toilet or a roll-in shower that is staying as it is.
- Someone who wants one chair for both the toilet and the shower.
Look elsewhere if you
- A user who has to be wheeled to the bathroom. That is the MC4000 Series.
- A user over 400 lbs.
- Outdoor use, which Nuprodx prohibits and which voids the warranty.
- More than one occupant at a time.
- A user who needs to cross a tub wall seated. That is the MC5000 or MC6000 Series.
- Anyone who needs a chair they can send back. The MC3000 is made to order and is not returnable.

Common questions
The non-tilt models and the TX adjust from 16.5" to 24" seat to floor, and the tilt models from 20" to 26". Measure from the floor to the top of your toilet bowl with the seat and lid raised, and choose a model whose range clears it.
The MC3000 stands on crutch tips and stays where it is set up. The MC4000 rolls on casters or large wheels, so a caregiver can wheel the user from the bedroom to the toilet and into a roll-in shower.
The MC3000 TX is the travel model. It weighs about 20 lbs., packs into the included carrying case, and takes a two-part cushion, the cloth back and swing-away side arms. It is built on the 17x17 frame and takes no headrest.
No. The standard MC3000, MC3200 and TX ship without footrests, and swing-away footrests are an option. The tilt models take seat-mounted footrests that tilt with the chair, sized to the lower leg.
The MC3000 Tilt carries 300 lbs. on a 17" wide frame. The MC3200 Tilt carries 400 lbs. on a 20" wide frame. Both include the tilt and the padded headrest.
The HCPCS codes on this chair are E1399 and E0240. Whether a payer covers it is between you and that payer, and a code on a form does not by itself mean coverage or payment. Sunrise publishes these codes from PDAC verification or from their reading of Medicare definitions.
Every MC3000 is assembled to the user it was ordered for, with the cushion, back and frame chosen for them, so it cannot be resold. Nuprodx also excludes custom parts and custom cushions from returns outright. Check the measurements with the fitting guide before you order.
Nuprodx gives a two-year limited warranty on every part of the chair except the seat and back cushions, which carry one year. Normal wear and tear is excluded, and custom parts and custom cushions are excluded. The warranty period starts on the day you receive the chair, and you activate it by registering the chair with Nuprodx.

No. Hieline does not bill or accept insurance, so the MC3000 Series is a direct purchase. Any reimbursement is strictly between you and your insurer.
Yes. Your progress saves automatically in your browser as you go, so you can step away and pick up where you left off on the same device.
Every combination is checked against Sunrise Medical's own compatibility rules as you build. An option that does not fit your other choices is greyed out with the reason printed on it, and the build cannot be added to the cart while a conflict is open.
