No step over the tub wall
The seat slides across the wall on a locking bridge, so the user crosses seated. That single movement is where most bathroom falls happen.
The bathroom stays as it is
The tub and shower base stands over the tub wall on legs that adjust to the inside and outside tub heights. Nothing is fixed to the wall or the floor.
Four models, one frame
Two chairs with a bridge and tub base, and two benches that span the wall themselves. The MC5200 carries 400 lbs. and the MC5300 is cut to your tub opening.
The bridge comes out
Once the seat is over the tub, the connector bridge lifts away and the shower curtain closes, so the user bathes in private.
Commode opening as standard
The seat cushion comes in four commode shapes with an optional gel layer, or cut to any of 27 custom shapes.

The Hieline Insight
The MC5000 does one job and does not pretend to do the others. It has no casters, so it does not roll to the bedside and it is not a mobility chair. What it does is remove the single most dangerous movement in a bathroom, which is lifting a leg over a tub wall while wet. The seat sits on a frame beside the tub, the bridge locks the two halves together, and the user slides across seated. Because it stays put, it costs about a thousand dollars less than the mobile MC6000 and it is the right choice when the user can walk or wheel to the bathroom on their own. The MC5100 and MC5300 are the bench versions: they span the tub wall themselves, take no bridge and no tub base, and suit a bathroom where the tub sits against a wall with room to sit at both ends. Choose the MC5200 if the user is over 300 lbs., the MC5300 if the tub opening is an odd width, and the plain MC5000 otherwise.

- Outdoor use, which Nuprodx prohibits and which voids the warranty.
- More than one occupant at a time.
- A bathroom where the toilet and the tub are too far apart for a 23" bridge.
- Anyone who needs a system they can send back. The MC5000 is made to order and is not returnable.

Returns
The MC5000 is built to order. The bridge is cut to your bathroom and the cushion, back and frame are made to the user, so it cannot be resold and it is not returnable. Nuprodx excludes custom parts and custom cushions from returns outright. Use the Nuprodx user measurement and bathroom fitting guide on the Resources tab before you order, and the ten measurements it asks for will settle the fit.

Common questions
Measure from the center of the toilet bowl to the center of the tub drain or spout. That figure is "K" in the Nuprodx user measurement and bathroom fitting guide on the Resources tab. Pick the locking bridge nearest that measurement. Bridges run 9" to 23" in 1" steps. The MC5100 and MC5300 benches take no bridge.
The MC5000 and MC5200 are chairs that sit beside the tub and slide across on a bridge that connects them to a separate tub base. The MC5100 and MC5300 are benches whose own frame spans the tub wall, so they take no bridge and no tub base and cost about half as much.
No. It stands on crutch tips and stays in the bathroom. If you need a system that rolls to the bedside and over the toilet, that is the MC6000 Series.
The MC5300 is a one-piece bench made to your width, from 30" to 47" in 1" steps. The MC5100 is a 30" two-piece bench only.
The chairs clear standard and ADA-compliant toilets. The under-frame height adjusts from 16.5" to 20.5". Measure from the floor to the top of your toilet bowl with the seat and lid raised and compare it with that range.
The HCPCS codes on this system are E1399 and E0240. Whether a payer covers it is between you and that payer, and a code on a form does not by itself mean coverage or payment. Sunrise publishes these codes from PDAC verification or from their reading of Medicare definitions.
Every MC5000 is cut and assembled to the bathroom and the user it was ordered for, so it cannot be resold. Nuprodx also excludes custom parts and custom cushions from returns outright. Check the measurements with the fitting guide before you order.
Nuprodx gives a two-year limited warranty on every part of the chair except the seat and back cushions, which carry one year. Normal wear and tear is excluded, and custom parts and custom cushions are excluded. The warranty period starts on the day you receive the chair, and you activate it by registering the chair with Nuprodx.
