One bedside transfer
The user transfers once, at the bed. From there the chair rolls over the toilet and slides into the tub, so the two riskiest moves in the bathroom do not happen.
The bridge comes out
Once the chair is in the tub or shower, the patented connector bridge lifts away and the shower curtain closes, so the user bathes in private.
Built to your bathroom
The bridge length is chosen from the distance between the toilet bowl and the tub drain, and the seat frame, cushion, back and arms are each chosen for the user.

Rolls over a standard toilet

The Hieline Insight
The MC6000 earns its price by removing transfers rather than by adding features. A user who moves from bed to a standard shower chair still has to get onto the toilet and then over the tub wall, and those two moves are where falls happen. On this system the user makes one lateral transfer at the bedside, rolls over the toilet, locks the chair to the bridge and slides across the wall while seated. That is the whole argument for it, and it is why the chair is built to a measured bathroom rather than sold off a shelf. Pick the bridge length from the distance between your toilet and your tub drain, pick the frame from the user's hips and legs, and the rest of the choices follow from the back and the cushion the user needs. The heavy duty MC6200 buys 100 lbs. of capacity and a 20" seat, the tilt models buy pressure relief and caregiver access, the RS models buy a 22" shower entry, and the TX buys a suitcase. If none of those describe the user, the plain MC6000 is the one to order.

Returns
The MC6000 is built to order. The bridge is cut to your bathroom and the cushion, back and frame are made to the user, so it cannot be resold and it is not returnable. Nuprodx excludes custom parts and custom cushions from returns outright. Use the Nuprodx user measurement and bathroom fitting guide on the Resources tab before you order, and the ten measurements it asks for will settle the fit.

Common questions
Measure from the center of the toilet bowl to the center of the tub drain or spout. That figure is "K" in the Nuprodx user measurement and bathroom fitting guide on the Resources tab. Pick the locking bridge nearest that measurement. The bridges run 9" to 23" in 1" steps.
The frame is built to clear standard and ADA-compliant toilets. The under-frame height adjusts from 16" to 20" on every model except the MC6000 Tilt, which adjusts from 16.75" to 19". Measure from the floor to the top of your toilet bowl with the seat and lid raised and compare it with that range.
No. Sunrise builds the system to work in the bathroom you have. The tub and shower base stands over the tub wall on offset outer legs and inner legs that adjust to the inside and outside tub heights.
The MC6000 slides left or right across a tub wall. The MC6000 RS slides forward and backward, so it goes through a shower entry as narrow as 22" and then rotates to face the shower head. The RS models have no left or right slide direction to choose.
The MC6000 Tilt, the MC6200 Tilt and the MC6000 RS Tilt. Tilt is a center-of-mass design that shifts the user's weight back for pressure relief and caregiver access. A tilt model uses a back taller than 8" and includes the adjustable padded headrest.
Sunrise publishes an assembly video and an assembly instruction sheet for each model, both on the Resources tab, and states that most systems assemble in about 15 minutes depending on the configuration.
Yes. The TX weighs 42 lbs. and packs into the carrying case that ships with it. It is built on the 17" x 17" frame with the cloth back and the travel version of the quick release arms, and it does not take a headrest or the camo green upholstery.
Every MC6000 is cut and assembled to the bathroom and the user it was ordered for, so it cannot be resold. Nuprodx also excludes custom parts and custom cushions from returns outright. Check the measurements with the fitting guide before you order.
The HCPCS codes on this system are E1399 and E0240. Whether a payer covers it is between you and that payer, and a code on a form does not by itself mean coverage or payment. Sunrise publishes these codes from PDAC verification or from their reading of Medicare definitions.
Nuprodx gives a two-year limited warranty on every part of the chair except the seat and back cushions, which carry one year. Normal wear and tear is excluded, and custom parts and custom cushions are excluded. The warranty period starts on the day you receive the chair, and you activate it by registering the chair with Nuprodx.
