Replacement and alternative mounting hardware for NXT back supports. QuickFit clamp kits are sold by the side or as a pair. The 2-point, 4-point and micro mounts are fixed hardware for the backs listed under Specs.
QuickFit is the removable hardware every NXT back ships with. The fixed mounts are smaller and stay on the wheelchair.
What stands out
Every NXT back leaves the factory on QuickFit hardware, so a QuickFit kit is the direct replacement: it clamps onto back canes from 0.75" to 1" without shims, gives 5" of depth adjustment and 50 degrees of angle, and lets the back lift off without tools. The fixed mounts trade that range for a smaller, lighter part that stays bolted to the chair. The 2-point mount keeps 1" of depth adjustment and up to 25 degrees of angle each way, and NXT limits it to backs 16" high or lower. The micro mount takes up the least room on the canes and is for Optima and Optima Carbon backs 13" high or lower. The 4-point mount uses two brackets a side for stability, averages 15 degrees of angle, and rates an Optima 23" or wider at 550 lbs. The micro and 4-point mounts fit one chair width and do not adjust, so measure the distance between the back canes before you order. NXT lists none of the fixed mounts for the Armadillo.
