What stands out

A bar that stops sliding
The pre-ischial bar sits in front of the sitting bones. It keeps the pelvis from sliding forward and helps hold it in position.

Selective immersion under the pelvis
NXT SIT perforations are molded into the base under the ischial and sacral area. They are conical and set at different depths, so the bony points sink in and the areas around them take more of the load.

Three layers of foam
A soft smartGEL infused visco top layer for comfort and immersion, a medium density visco layer for support, and a firm molded base for stability. The gel-infused foam draws heat away from the skin.

Contours for positioning
Posterior lateral and trochanteric contours hold the hips, and a moderate abductor and adductor contour keeps the thighs in line. The rear is cut on a radius for sacral support.

A beveled front edge
The front edge is cut at 20 degrees for foot propellers, users with tight hamstrings and chairs with a tight front frame angle.

A breathable cover
The smartx3D cover is a three-layer antimicrobial fabric with an air channel in the middle that carries heat and moisture away. NXT rates it 20 times more air permeable than standard fabrics.
The Hieline Take

The BioFit does its work in layers. The soft gel-infused top lets the body settle in, the visco layer under it supports, and the firm molded base keeps its shape, with SIT perforations under the sitting bones so those points sink in further than the areas around them. The pre-ischial bar in front of the sitting bones is what keeps you from sliding forward, and the contours at the hips and thighs hold the legs in line. There is no air to check, so day to day it is simple to live with. Match your seat width and depth, pick the cover that suits you, and add a spare so one can be in the wash. Check the weight limit for your width before you order, because it steps from 300 lbs. to 400 lbs. at 22" wide.
